Summary:
The Financial Planning & Analysis (“FP&A”) Senior Associate will be responsible for providing the management team with the analysis and information they need to make operational, financial, and strategic decisions. Traditional FP&A responsibilities including managing the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes, completing cash flow forecasting models, completing periodic variance analysis, preparing internal and external presentations, completing capital expenditure analysis, completing industry/peer group comparisons and other financial analysis and reporting projects. This function will serve as one of the Company’s analytical engines, providing insights and supporting ‘optimal’ business decision making.

The Finance Department has created this new role in response to the Company’s considerable growth and the successful candidate will have an immediate opportunity to make meaningful contributions to the organization and help guide the Company’s FP&A activities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Build annual budgets, periodic forecasts and long-range financial models
  • Complete month-to-date, quarter-to-date and year-to-date variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
  • Analyze current and past trends in the Company’s results including revenue, cost of sales, SG&A expenses and other financial and non-financial KPIs
  • Work directly with functional leaders to analyze their department’s financial results and develop action plans for improvement
  • Build and manage financial databases to support financial modeling
  • Prepare or assist in the preparation of presentations for internal and external users including the management team, the Board of Directors and lenders
  • Performs ad hoc analysis for management team as required


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Three or more years of relevant corporate Accounting or Finance experience
  • Ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow
  • Strong leadership skills; ability to collaborate across functions
  • Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills
  • Comfort dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently
  • Experience working with, and presenting to, senior executives
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills; comfortable interacting with executive-level management
  • Strong financial modeling experience and excellent attention to detail
  • Proficient accessing data from “mainstream” ERP solutions, particularly as a “self-service” user
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree with a concentration in Accounting or Finance
  • Four or more years of relevant corporate Accounting or Finance experience
  • CPA, CFA or similar professional certification
  • Public accounting experience
